This hotel has gone down hill, I suggest not staying here when you are in Sauk, there are plenty of other good hotels. This hotel is very run down and the food tastes so bad. They need so much upgrading to do and the front desk associates were so rude. The breakfast room was very messy when I went for food. Room service was bad, I think I only had two good room cleanings when I was there. There were only two good people working. One was an older lady, dark brown hair was very kind and sociable! The other was a man who had a dog and was very funny and super kind! He was always very helpful when I need assistance! Other then those two workers I don’t see many other positives to being a this hotel.
This place was a very good choice! Young guy that checked me in...Super friendly!! Very accommodating! No conditioner in room, they helped me out immediately! Rooms were clean and nice, everything worked! Only 1 bad all, and that was the stinky soap, and pre opened shampoo, otherwise, you guys we fantastic !!
If you wanna feel like you home. Ask for Richard and his wife. They gonna make you feel home.
The rooms looked like they were pretty worn down and needed remodeling. The bathroom was stained yellow and I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be that color or if it just got discoloration from it being old. The bed was hard as a rock and the continental breakfast was NOT GOOD. No hot foods. Only cereal and bread. No waffle maker, no sausage, no eggs. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We paid a little more than 100 dollars for a night, which you could easily do this at other hotels.
For the price, it's a nice place to stay. Clean rooms, indoor pool and a light breakfast in the morning. Has a Pub underneath the hotel you can get to without going outside.
